On a Sunday afternoon, I went with a good friend to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. This world-class tropical garden is one of my favorite places in the area. Jardín Botánico Vallarta. After taking in the garden, we retired for lunch. I realized we had a visitor, a small bright green iguana was curious as he climbed onto one of the pillars that line the terraza. He was so still and intent. Such a handsome creature with many patterned scales covering his tiny body. His scaled body was the texture of fine velvet, with only his razor-sharp claws to remind you that the iguana was wild.
