México is my adopted home. I love its colors, beauty, vibrant life. And people, so kind, welcoming, and humble. And industrious. I admire their ability to create something beautiful from what seems like nothing. They will weave a palm frond into a bracelet or a hat. Or create works of art from pineapple and coconut. Women clustered under the bridge, expertly creating these wonders. Their husbands carry these wonderous creations in Coca-Cola walking on the hot sand, dressed in white, protecting them from the sun.
There is always a shaker of chile to add heat to the cool fruit. Mexianos like it “dulce y picante.”
