My art is original, mostly inspired by photographs I take with my point-and-shoot camera. The work can be painstaking, layer after transparent layers, like working with oil paint or watercolors. I frequently begin my workday by playing with photographs to loosen up. I make hundreds of these enhanced photos, most are discarded. But some are keepers. The Pixels section of my portfolio is a collection of this best work.
Before the frond falls, it turns a reddish-orange. It is hot; the palm set is silhouetted against a turquoise sky.
Palms are amazing trees. They define a landscape. Imagine Los Angeles or Miami without the streets lined with iconic palms.
This palm’s landscape is my upper deck silhouetted by The Bay of Banderas and a glorious sky.
If printed on paper, I recommend that the print be framed “floated on a matte” as the edge of the image serves as a defining frame.
In addition to the Sunset Cotton Etching Fine Art Paper, Satin Luster Paper and Metallic Paper have a smooth contemporary finish that complements the image.
