I love iguanas. They are magnificent rulers of the jungle’s reptiles. Sometimes they are problematic for humans and pets.
They delighted in torturing our dog Thunder. Thunder got his revenge. I had to yank the lizard out of his mouth; his sharp scales were nasty. Thank goodness he was frightened and didn’t bite. I released him, and he skittered across the cobblestone street.
Now I am battling an iguana determined to eat my crown of thorns plant on my upper deck. Supposedly the plant is poisonous. This guy is thriving, devouring the bright red flowers and rose-tinged green leaves.
