I take trips to the extraordinary Vallarta Jardín Botánico often. It is a favorite place to stimulate my creativity. I am not alone. USA Today named it one of its Readers’ Choice “10 Best” Gardens in North America. I visit seasonally for inspiration and to have lunch in the wonderful restaurant.

It was summer and the sun was bright, bright, bright. The shadows created graphic images on each spike. I even included the wire that supported a nearby vine. I seek imperfection in my work. When I studied art, I had a teacher who called them happy accidents. I keep the happy accidents that are captured in my photographs that inspire my finished images. Who wants perfection?
